Brad's Blog - 11/25/13
Trade deadline is 4pm Wednesday and our Local 12 poll showed 68% of you think the Reds should make a deal. It's hard to believe anything big will happen for this club with Ryan Ludwick due back soon once he reaches about 30 rehab at-bats. Hunter Pence doesn't make much sense since he's never started in left field. Sean Marshall was sent back home with another setback for the tendinitis in his shoulder. He's been down since May 24th and the Reds need another lefty in the pen. Righthander Johnathan Broxton is ready to come back but they want him sharp. His scheduled start with the Bats was rained out Tuesday. He'll start Wednesday.
Here are a few of fans thoughts from twitter on what the Reds should do:

@bradjohansen do nothing! Any trade for a bat would require both Hamilton and Cingrani as well as a prospect
Rob Vertrees @robvertrees
@bradjohansen No one affordable on the market right now...so I wait and pray to the baseball gods that Ludwick has 3 good months in him
Michael Smith @msmithjr1375
@bradjohansen Do nothing...This team is 2nd wild card material. No more, no less. They would lose to whom ever they play anyhow.
Brad Perry @BMPerry5
@bradjohansen I would package Hamilton and a prospect or two not named Cingrani for Stanton

OSU Coach Urban Meyer trying to send a message of discipline to his team has suspended RB Carlos Hyde for the first three games of the season. The action comes after the woman involved in an alleged assault at a Columbus bar refused to press charges and police closed the case.
Statement from Head Coach Urban Meyer:
"Carlos Hyde will be suspended for at least the first three games of the 2013 season for conduct not representative of this football program or this university. He will be required to fulfill additional obligations before he is allowed to play in a game."
